Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Zink Labs LLC ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use Job Agent ("Service"). It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.
Last Updated: September 27, 2026 | Version 1.4
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, maintain sessions, and provide functionality.
In addition to cookies, we use localStorage and sessionStorage (collectively, "browser storage"), which serve similar purposes under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)). References to "cookies" in this policy include these similar technologies unless otherwise stated.
2. Cookies and Browser Storage We Use
2.1 Essential Cookies (Always Active)
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, no consent is required for essential cookies.
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth token | Cookie | Supabase | Authentication and session management | Persistent: up to 7 days. Session: expires when browser closes. |
| jobbot_consent_given | Cookie | Job Agent (first-party) | Records that you have made a cookie consent choice; stores consent version | 1 year |
| sb-*-auth-token | Cookie | Supabase | Supabase session token for authenticated API calls | Persistent: up to 7 days. Session: expires when browser closes. |
2.2 Preference and Functionality Storage
These store your preferences so we do not ask you again. They are set only after you interact with the cookie banner or adjust settings.
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| jobbot_cookie_consent | localStorage | Job Agent (first-party) | Full consent record: timestamp, version, selected categories, consent type (accept_all / reject_all / custom) | Until cleared by user or 1 year, whichever comes first |
| jobbot_cookie_preferences | localStorage | Job Agent (first-party) | Category-level preferences object (essential, analytics, marketing, functionality). Note: analytics and marketing categories are reserved for future use — no analytics or marketing cookies are currently active. | Until cleared by user or 1 year, whichever comes first |
2.3 Third-Party Cookies and Tracking Technologies
| Name | Type | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe checkout cookies | Cookie | Stripe, Inc. | Secure payment processing during Stripe Checkout | Session |
| Vercel Analytics | Script | Vercel, Inc. | Cookieless aggregate web analytics (va.vercel-scripts.com). Page views and Web Vitals metrics. | N/A (no storage) |
| _ga, _ga_* | Cookie | Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | First-party site analytics. Distinguishes unique sessions; conversion measurement. | Up to 2 years |
| Google Ads conversion (gtag) | Script + cookies | Google LLC | Conversion measurement for Google Ads campaigns we run. | Up to 90 days |
| Meta Pixel (fbp / fbc) | Script + cookies | Meta Platforms, Inc. | Conversion measurement for Facebook / Instagram ad campaigns. | Up to 90 days |
| Reddit Pixel (rdt) | Script + cookies | Reddit, Inc. | Conversion measurement for Reddit ad campaigns. | Up to 30 days |
| X Pixel (twq) | Script + cookies | X Corp. | Conversion measurement for X / Twitter ad campaigns. | Up to 30 days |
| TikTok Pixel (_ttp) | Script + cookies | TikTok Inc. (ByteDance, Ltd.) | Conversion measurement for TikTok ad campaigns we run. Pixel does not fire inside the Capacitor mobile WebView. | Up to 13 months |
2.4 What These Pixels Do Not Do
-
No sale of data: We do not sell your personal information.
-
No cross-site behavioral profiling: Pixels record events on Job Agent only; they do not follow you across unrelated websites.
-
No social widgets: We do not embed social media share/like widgets that track you off-site.
3. How to Manage Cookies and Browser Storage
3.1 Browser-Level Controls
Job Agent operates only in the United States and uses analytics + ad measurement pixels site-wide without a separate cookie banner. To control these pixels you can: (a) install a browser-based ad blocker (uBlock Origin, AdBlock, Privacy Badger); (b) enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honor by skipping Meta Pixel and Google Analytics 4 on page load; or (c) clear cookies and site data via your browser settings.
3.2 Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to:
-
View, delete, or block cookies from specific or all websites
-
Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies
-
Clear localStorage and sessionStorage via Developer Tools > Application > Storage
Disabling essential cookies may prevent the Service from functioning correctly (e.g., you will not be able to stay logged in).
3.3 Common Browser Settings
-
Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
-
Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
-
Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
-
Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data
4. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that you do not want to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common standard for interpreting DNT signals, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. However, you can use our cookie preference center to reject non-essential cookies at any time.
5. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We use first-party conversion pixels (Reddit, Google Ads, X, Meta, TikTok) and Google Analytics 4 to measure ad performance; under Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.140(ah) this may be characterized as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. Zink Labs LLC currently operates below CCPA/CPRA applicability thresholds. To opt out, install a browser-based ad blocker or enable Global Privacy Control; we honor GPC. For full CCPA/CPRA rights, see the Privacy Policy.
6. Consent Versioning
We maintain a consent version identifier (currently "1.0.0"). If we materially change the cookies or storage technologies we use, we will increment the version number. When the version changes, returning users will be shown the consent banner again so they can review and update their preferences.
Important note on consent record continuity: If cookie names are updated in a future version (for example, if the jobbot_ prefix changes), consent records stored under the previous names will not automatically carry forward. In such cases, the consent version will be incremented and all returning users will be re-prompted to make a fresh consent choice.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if we add new cookies, change providers, or modify our practices. The "Last Updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision. Material changes will trigger a consent version increment (Section 6) so you are prompted to review.
